Brent Kilmer
Owner
Brent is a lifelong car lover and has been in the automobile business for 25 years. Prior to Velocity Tire & Auto, Brent worked at Harvey Lexus in Grand Rapids in Pre Owned Sales. Opening Velocity Tire & Auto has been a lifelong dream. Brent is responsible for marketing, empowering managers and employees to succeed, keeping in touch with customers and managing vehicle sales. Brent is married to Karen and they have 5 children; Lauryn, Tyler, Noelle, Marshall and Gabriel. They live in Wyoming and their children attend Jenison and Kentwood Schools.
Johnny Sipple
Technician
Johnny has been with Velocity since March of 2018 and has been a very welcome addition. Johnny has 6 ASE Certifications and should have his Master Certification soon. He is a very skilled, thorough technician and a pleasure to work with. Johnny lives in Grand Rapids with his wife Ali, daughter Brooke and their dogs, Lucy and Layla. He loves ATV's and when the snow flies he loves snowmobiling.
Jon VanOyen
Technician
Jon VanOyen is our lead technician and has been with Velocity since our first day in Caledonia. Jon's father, Mike built our building in 2001 and operated VanOyen Auto Sales and Service for 14 years before selling to Velocity Tire & Auto. Jon is an ASE Master Certified Technician and is a tremendous asset to our business and our shop. Outside of work, Jon is married to Jenna, plays lead guitar at Encounter Church in Kentwood and has a growing talent for photography.
George Nikolich
Service Manager
George started with Velocity in 2022 as Service Manager and brought with him over 40 years of automobile service experience. George has done everything from being a certified Technician to owning a shop to managing a local shop for almost 20 years. George and his wife, Chris live on Gun Lake and he loves fishing and spending time with his family that includes 3 dogs.
Brandon Buitendyk
Technician
Brandon has been with Velocity since February of 2022 and has 2 ASE Certifications in brakes and suspension/steering. He does the majority of our oil changes, tires, brakes and safety inspections. Brandon is very thorough and loves automobiles. He loves spending time with his daughter Charlotte and working on his Subaru WRX. Brandon is a graduate of East Kentwood High School.
Andrew Geelhoed
Service Advisor
Andrew is our main service advisor and works closely with our technicians, our parts suppliers and our customers to design the best plan for maintaining and repairing their vehicle. Andrew is a former technician who has broad experience as an advisor at Christian Brothers, Belle Tire and Tuffy. Andrew loves Mustangs and owns a rare GT350. He likes taking trips with other car enthusiasts and spending time with his parents that live here in West Michigan.
